The World Economic Forum 2023 in Davos, Switzerland


The World Economic Forum will be held in Davos, Switzerland on January 16-20. For the first time since 2020, the event will be held in a traditional format.

The theme of this year’s Forum is “Collaboration in a Fragmented World”: Participants will look at how the multiple and interrelated challenges the world is facing can be addressed and solved through public-private collaboration.

The World Economic Forum will discuss the energy and food crises, combating high inflation, low growth and high debt, addressing current social vulnerabilities, countering today’s geopolitical risks.

According to Bloomberg, there will be no representatives of Russia and China among the WEF participants.

At the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2023, meet the winners of the 28th Annual Crystal Awards. This year’s awardees are four exceptional cultural leaders who are being honored for their work to promote environmental conservation, food security, climate change, mental health and education.

Tomorrow, January 17, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will speak in Davos. There will also be a session with the participation of the Presidents of Poland and Lithuania.

On January 18, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will speak at the forum, there will also be a session with the participation of the UN Secretary General.

On January 19, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak will speak – he will present the “peace formula”.
