Within the framework of its public benefit activity, the Onassis Foundation responds to the present need for a reviving project by funding and organizing a European Architectural Competition for the creation of a new city centre. Supported by the European Community, the objective of this initiative is to improve the everyday life of Athenian citizens, allowing the completion of the vision for quality life in the Greek capital. Its main goal is to stop the increasing downgrading and revive the historically and culturally highly valued centre of Athens in a more people – friendly, sustainable place. Apart from increasing the quality of Athenian life, this project will add value to the tourism sector of the city, highlighting its archeological, historical and cultural heritage.

In line with this revitalizing project, Air Business International, a company with more than 30 years of experience in the aviation sector in Greece, aims at enhancing tourism in Athens by organizing a coordinated network for helicopter sightseeing tours all over Athens.

Athens has a lot to offer to its visitors the whole year round, taking also into consideration its mild climate, clear sky and sunshine most of the time, giving the perfect opportunity for helicopter rides all over the city.

Visitors will have the chance to have a bird-eye view of the most important monuments of the Greek civilization, such as the Acropolis, the Olympic Stadium, Panathinaikon Stadium and Lycabetus Hill, as well as of the stunning Athenian coastline in sightseeing flights of 30min or 60min.
